Amy Newkirk, children's ministry coordinator

As Children’s Ministries Coordinator, I believe it is important to not only instill God’s Word into the hearts of the children of our church, but to reach out to other kids who need to hear the gospel of Christ. I hope to give the kids a broader view of how God is working in the world around us and how they can use their gifts to serve Him.

I have a background in elementary education and early childhood education and enjoy teaching. I also enjoy working with all ages of kids/adults with disabilities. We moved to Fergus Falls in 2006 and have been involved at First Baptist since then. My husband works for Otter Tail Power Company as an Environmental Compliance Specialist and enjoys working with the youth at church. We have three kids, Morgan, Abby and Luke. I tend to make time for my favorite hobby-reading! I also enjoy cross-stitching, crocheting, and making all sorts of crafts.
